montavent your specialist for trapezoidal sheetmetal – at home on trapezoidal roofs since 1999

As early as in 1999 we installed the first solar power plant on a trapezoidal roof – on the main railway station in Zurich.

 

 

Since then montavent specialised in photovoltaic (PV) installation solutions on trapezoidal sheetmetals.  Our mission is to form, facilitate and promote sustainably the future of the PV installation domain using our quick, secure and long lasting Placing-Setting-System.

The montavent installation system has been conceived and continuously improved for 10 years specifically for trapezoidal sheetmetal use.  Most of the big installations on trapezoidal sheetmetal in Switzerland have been realised using the montavent TRAPEZOIDAL system.  Following the requirements in big plant constructions, our development aims are:

• Easy to understand instructions provide easier training for installation staff and providing a quality assurance certificate after installation at any time.

All aluminium components of our screwless form system are manufactured at a German sheetmetal shop, where experience and competence have tradition. Shipping from Germany goes without custom clearance formalities, which avoids delays. Best quality is our standard requirement.

 Since 1991 he has been exclusively working in the renewable energy sector. He planned and built his first Swiss solar power plant in 1992. For several years he has been an active board member of the Solar Energy Association, an instructor in photovoltaics and speaker at numerous conferences. His work and publications have received numerous awards.

Since the founding of montavent he has been responsible for the finances. From 1997 onwards he has been working in the field of solar power and brings longstanding experience in this business. His first solar power plant was in 2000. As a specialist in photovoltaics he has held numerous national presentations and won prestigious awards.

The installation system montavent has been specifically conceived for trapezoidal metal sheet applications in Switzerland and has been continuously improved over approximately 10 years. The majority of large plants on trapezoidal metal sheets in Switzerland have been built using the montavent-Placing-Setting-Systems.

 

The best evidence for montavent’s philosophy and business strategy is its success: solar power stations with our PV assembly system have received national and international awards and approval. We focus on outstanding quality, which we back up with certificates and warranties, in order to ensure continual development and guarantee that we can meet our customers’ expectations in the long-term.

 

1999
The first „large construction“ at the time (50 kWp) on a trapezoidal roof of Zurich’s central railway station, planned and implemented by the consultants for power engineering "Ingenieurbüro für Energietechnik Christian Meier" in Zurich.

 

2001
A first construction, on a stadium trapezoidal roof: on the new stadium St. Jakob Basel (200 kWp).

 

2004
Largest PV construction in Switzerland and largest stadium construction in the world on the new Stade de Suisse Wankdorf, Berne; outrivaling strong national and international competition. montavent AluFix, as a world first, fixes solar modules without screws, by means of compacts. The world first "montavent SolarDraisine®" for the service of solar power plants is a front page topic of many solar publications, nationally and internationally and wins European and Swiss solar awards.

 

2007
The company, renamed energiebüro® during this time, realises the forth solar stadium in Switzerland: the extension to the Stade de Suisse Wankdorf, Berne. The new installation line montavent AluFix-II allows an even faster module installation, needless to say, without screws. A second generation of "SolarDraisine®" for extended requirements goes on line.

 

2007
Basing on more than 15 years of operation in PV construction and almost 10 years of experience on trapezoidal roofs, montavent gmbh is founded in Zürich. The time-tested installation system line „ montavent" is launched as a product for rapid and cost saving installation of solar power plants on trapezoidal roofs.

 

2009
The Swiss PV installation system montavent conforms to DIN 1055-4 (3/05) and its statics are quality-tested in Germany. Mandatory quality evidence is supplied for every construction.  Our sealing rivets are tested with a German technical inspection authority (TÜV Rheinland) and a type certificate is established.

 

2010

montavent goes international and expands business to Italy, Greece and Australia.

In everyday business, montavent sustainability and environmental consciousness are a first priority.  We promote this aim in a consequent and active way and encourage our customers, suppliers and our staff to act in an ecologically environment.  Here are some examples on how montavent lives as a team the everyday business principles of sustainable energy management: we do not only discourse, but act.

 

montavent - A Business Located Centrally and Close to Public Transport

The montavent business location was deliberately chosen close to the main railway station in Zurich to allow easy accessibility by local and national public transport.  Important infrastructure, such as shops, restaurants, copy shops etc. are within walking distance.  For slightly longer distance travel, we have company bicycles at disposal, which reduces CO2 emission and takes advantage of the healthy aspect of this mode of transport.

 

montavent - Support of Public Transport and Combined Traffic

Whenever possible montavent staff travel by train to external meetings, if necessary they chose from the wide range of offer on vehicles from Mobility, Car Sharing or rent a car.  This allows us to prepare our business during the train ride and we arrive in time, relaxed and well-informed.  It goes without saying that engine-driven company cars are only used, where there is no other choice.  At our main premises bicycles are at the disposal of everybody and our staff may subscribe to the “1/2-Tax-Abo” of the Swiss Railway (SBB).

 

montavent - Voluntary CO2 Compensation

Whenever the use of fossil engine-driven transportation means is inevitable, we contribute to CO2 compensation voluntarily.  Aircraft are only used, if no other valuable alternative means is available, which for us goes without saying.

 

montavent - Everyday Office Business with Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency

montavent is supplied with 100% green electricity by the local energy supply company (EVU) and economic resource during everyday office business where ever possible.  In order to use daylight at a maximum extent, all posts are optimally arranged to the windows.  We use energy saving lamps throughout and after work we shut down all devices to avoid energy loss in Standby mode.  We exclusively use recycled paper.  Litter where possible, is avoided.  Waste is of course separated and recycled.

 

montavent - Social Committment

Sticking to their principles is of particular importance to the montavent employees and carry out their tasks as they are meant to be done: in a clear, straight-line, cardiac manner.  We treat all our suppliers, customers and partners respectfully independent of their race, their gender and their religion..  Whenever possible montavent collaborates with the "Züriwerk", a trademarked shop for handicaped people.

Instead of generous customer incentives montavent donates to diverse organisations each year for Christmas.
